Smaller-loss planar SPP transmission line than conventional microstrip in microwave frequencies
Transmission line is a basic component in all passive devices, integrated circuits, and systems. Microstrip is the most popular transmission line in the microwave and millimeter-wave frequencies, and has been widely used in current electronic devices, circuits, and systems. One of the important issues to be solved in such applications is the relatively large transmission loss of microstrip. Her...
متن کاملDesign of Microwave Microstrip Bandpass Filters Using Defected Ground Structures
متن کاملTunable Single-negative Metamaterials Based on Microstrip Transmission Line with Varactor Diodes Loading
In this paper, tunable single-negative (TSNG) metamaterials based on microstrip with varactor diodes loading are investigated. By tuning the external voltage, our structure can provide either an epsilon-negative or a mu-negative band gap, with varying gap width (the ratio of bandwidth to center frequency can be from 0 to over 100%) and depth (from 0 dB to about −30 dB). Moreover, the tunneling ...
متن کاملFully integrated microwave frequency synthesizer on heterogeneous silicon-III/V.
We demonstrate a photonic microwave generator on the heterogeneous silicon-InP platform. Waveguide photodiodes with a 3 dB bandwidth of 65 GHz and 0.4 A/W responsivity are integrated with lasers that tune over 42 nm with less than 150 kHz linewidth. Microwave signal generation from 1 to 112 GHz is achieved.
متن کاملAnalysis of Planar Microstrip Circuits Using Three-Dimensional Transmission Line Matrix Method
The frequency-dependent characteristics of microstrip planar circuits have been previously analyzed using several full-wave approaches. All those methods directly give characteristic of the circuits frequency by frequency. Computation time becomes important if these planar circuits have to be studied over a very large bandwidth. The transmission line matrix (TLM) method presented in this paper ...
